On Sunday, President Asif Ali Zardari granted military awards to more than 750 officers and soldiers from the Army, Navy, and Air Force in a special ceremony held in honor of Pakistan Day.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) press release, the president awarded a total of 23 Hilal-i-Imtiaz (Military), 112 Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military), and 133 Tamgha-i-Imtiaz (Military). Additionally, two Sitara-i-Basalat and 227 Tamgha-i-Basalat were awarded, along with 82 Imtiazi Sanads and 185 COAS Commendation Cards.
