President Zardari Grants Military Awards on Pakistan Day

On Sunday, President Asif Ali Zardari granted military awards to more than 750 officers and soldiers from the Army, Navy, and Air Force in a special ceremony held in honor of Pakistan Day.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) press release, the president awarded a total of 23 Hilal-i-Imtiaz (Military), 112 Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military), and 133 Tamgha-i-Imtiaz (Military). Additionally, two Sitara-i-Basalat and 227 Tamgha-i-Basalat were awarded, along with 82 Imtiazi Sanads and 185 COAS Commendation Cards.

Sitara-i-Basalat Recipients:

• Lt Col Muhammad Ali Shaukat (Shaheed) – Frontier Force (FF)

• Sep Soban Majeed Baloch (Shaheed) – Azad Kashmir (AK)

Tamgha-i-Basalat Recipients:

Several martyrs and valiant soldiers from various regiments were honored with Tamgha-i-Basalat. Notable recipients include:

• Lt Col Syed Kashif Ali (Shaheed) – Air Defense (AD)

• Maj Amir Aziz (Shaheed) – Punjab Regiment

• Capt Muhammad Ahmed Badar (Shaheed) – AD

• Capt Muhammad Osama Bin Arshad (Shaheed) – Northern Light Infantry (NLI)

Imtiazi Sanad Recipients:

Imtiazi Sanads were awarded to distinguished officers such as:

• Lt Col Moeen Ud Din—Corps of Military Intelligence (CMI)

• Maj. Ahmed Adnan Ur Rasheed—Punjab Regiment

• Capt. Luqman Asghar—Frontier Force (FF)

Hilal-i-Imtiaz (Military) Recipients:

High-ranking officers who received the prestigious Hilal-i-Imtiaz (Military) include:

• Maj Gen Amer Ashfaq Kayani—Air Defense (AD)

• Maj Gen Haroon Ishaq Raja—Azad Kashmir Regiment (AK)

• Maj Gen Omer Naseem—Army Corps of Engineers

Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military) Recipients:

Brigadiers from various corps and regiments were honored with Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military), including:

• Brig. Farhan Saqib—Punjab Regiment

• Brig. Talha Altaf—Army Corps of Engineers

Tamgha-i-Imtiaz (Military) Recipients:

Tamgha-i-Imtiaz (Military) was awarded to officers such as:

• Lt Col Muhammad Kamran Khan—Army Corps of Engineers

• Lt Col Saif Ullah—Army Corps of Engineers

• Lt Col Malik Salah Ud Din Muhammad Ghazi—Artillery
